| Description: | Community Brief "Agenda for Accelerated Country Action for Women, Girls, Gender Equality and HIV." The purpose of this Community Brief is to provide guidance on how civil society can support an effective response for women and girls in the context of HIV, together with governments, the UN system and development partners. Further to summarizing the "Operational Plan for the UNAIDS Action Framework: addressing Women, Girls, Gender Equality and HIV" in more accessible language targeted to a wider audience, the brief calls for accelerated action by identifying key civil society actions as listed in the Operational Plan. The Community Brief will form part of the media package for the launch of the Operational Plan at the 54th session of the Commission on the Status of Women in New York on 2 March 2010. Once the Community Brief is finalised, it will be translated into other languages. In order to make this brief as comprehensive as possible, I would once again like to draw on your experience and expertise by requesting your review and input into this document. We would be most grateful if you could provide your feedback by 2 February 2010, as we are once again bound by a time bound process.
